VLT08 - THE BEST TRIP OF SOUTHERN

Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City

• Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, where you'll meet your Vietnam Legend Travel guide and transfer to your hotel.

• The rest of the day is at leisure.

• Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Day 2: City Tour & Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L/_)

• Morning: After breakfast, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network built by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the struggle for independence.

• Afternoon: Enjoy a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Visit attractions such as the War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Old Saigon Post Office in Chinatown.

• Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Tra Vinh (B/L/_)

• Morning: After breakfast, depart for Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a scenic two-hour drive, crossing the Rach Mieu Cable Bridge. Upon arrival in Ben Tre, explore the local market and experience the river life on a 40-minute boat trip along the Ham Luong River.

• Afternoon: Visit a local village, where you can try tropical juices and learn about coconut candy making. Afterward, enjoy a traditional "homemade" lunch and continue your journey to Tra Vinh.

• Evening: Arrive in Tra Vinh and visit Hang Pagoda, famous for its ancient trees and bird convergence.

• Overnight in Tra Vinh.

 

Day 4: Tra Vinh – Can Tho (B/L/_)

• Morning: After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour around Tra Vinh and visit Ba Om Pond, famous for its high sand mounds and unique tree shapes.

• Afternoon: On your way to Can Tho, stop by the Ang Pagoda, an ancient Khmer pagoda surrounded by lush trees. Continue your journey to Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta.

• Overnight in Can Tho.

 

Day 5: Can Tho – Chau Doc (B/L/_)

• Morning: Start early to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market, where you can see boats full of fresh produce and interact with local vendors.

• Afternoon: After the market, take a boat trip along the riverbanks to explore local life before returning to your hotel to check out. Then, travel to Chau Doc and check into your hotel. In the evening, drive up Sam Mountain to enjoy the sunset over the Cambodian border.

• Overnight in Chau Doc.

 

Day 6: Chau Doc – Ha Tien (B/L/_)

• Morning: After breakfast, take a boat ride to visit fish farms and stilt houses of the Cham minority. Learn about traditional textiles woven on old wooden looms.

• Afternoon: Continue your journey southwest to Ha Tien.

• Overnight in Ha Tien.

 

Day 7: Ha Tien Sightseeing (B/L/_)

• Morning: Visit Phu Dung Pagoda, founded by Mac Cuu’s second wife in the 18th century, followed by Thach Dong Cave Pagoda, which commemorates the massacre of 130 people by the Khmer Rouge in 1979.

• Afternoon: Visit Mui Nai Beach and enjoy views of Cambodia from the boulders. Explore Hon Chong and Duong Beach for beautiful views of Son Island.

• Overnight in Ha Tien.

 

Day 8: Ha Tien – Phu Quoc Island (B/_/_)

• Morning: After breakfast, take a ferry from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc Island.

• Afternoon: Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

• Overnight in Phu Quoc.

 

Day 9 & Day 10: Phu Quoc Island (B/_/_)

• Enjoy two free days on Phu Quoc Island. Relax on the unspoiled beaches, explore tropical rainforests, or visit the local night market. Optional activities include scuba diving, visiting natural parks, or learning about the island's history.

• Overnight in Phu Quoc.

 

Day 11: Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City – Departure (B/_/_)

• After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport (with driver only) for your flight back to Ho Chi Minh City. From there, you can arrange your connection to your international flight.

• End of services.
