VLT04 - FEELING VIETNAM

Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh

• Arrive in Saigon, meet your guide from Vietnam Legend Travel, and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

• Overnight: Ho Chi Minh

 

Day 2: Mekong Delta – Ben Tre Province (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Meet your guide and depart for Ben Tre, a province in the Mekong Delta.

  • Travel for about 2 hours, crossing over the Rach Mieu Cable Bridge to arrive at Ben Tre.

• Afternoon:

  • Visit Ben Tre local market to observe how the locals buy and sell goods.

  • Take a 40-minute boat ride on the Ham Luong River, seeing rows of green coconut trees.

  • Visit the local village and enjoy a peaceful boat ride under the coconut trees.

  • Walk through the village to visit a local family, enjoy tropical juice, and ride a Tuk Tuk (motor cart) to see women making hand brooms from coconut leaves.

  • Visit a coconut candy factory and taste different varieties of candies and jams.

  • Enjoy a traditional homemade lunch prepared by a local family, with a chance to cook alongside them.

  • Return to Saigon in the late afternoon.

• Overnight: Ho Chi Minh City

 

Day 3: Cu Chi Tunnels & City Tour/Ho Chi Minh to Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network used by Vietnamese resistance fighters.

  • Return to Saigon for a city tour, including the War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Old Saigon Post Office.

• Afternoon:

  • Transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for a short 1-hour flight to Da Nang.

  • Upon arrival in Da Nang, meet your guide and transfer to Hoi An.

• Overnight: Hoi An

 

Day 4: Hoi An – Hue (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Take a half-day tour of Hoi An, a former major trading port. Visit the ancient town center, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the colorful market.

• Afternoon:

  • After lunch, leave Hoi An for Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam.

  • Enjoy a scenic drive passing through Da Nang and climbing the Pass of Ocean Clouds, with a stop at the photogenic Lang Co fishing village.

• Overnight: Hue

 

Day 5: Hue City Tour/Hue to Ha Noi (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Take a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang.

• Afternoon:

  • Visit the elaborate tombs of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, along with the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled.

  • Transfer to Hue Airport for the short flight to Ha Noi.

  • Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

• Overnight: Ha Noi

 

Day 6: Ha Noi City Tour (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Visit the One Pillar Pagoda, President's Palace, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Fridays and during September).

  • Explore Quan Thanh Pagoda, West Lake, and Tran Quoc Pagoda.

  • Enjoy a cyclo tour around Ha Noi’s Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake.

• Afternoon:

  • Visit the Temple of Literature and the Museum of Ethnology.

  • Enjoy a traditional water puppet show in the evening.

• Overnight: Ha Noi

 

Day 7: Ha Noi - Ninh Binh (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Depart for Hoa Lu, the capital of Vietnam under the Dinh Dynasty. Visit ancient sanctuaries and tombs.

  • Continue to Tam Coc, also known as “Ha Long Bay on land,” to admire the limestone peaks and green valleys.

• Afternoon:

  • Visit Mua Cave and hike up to the top of the mountain (500 steps, 30-50 minutes) for a panoramic view of the Tam Coc area.

  • Take a boat trip through the Tam Coc caves and enjoy the surrounding landscapes.

  • Drive through quiet roads, passing rice fields, villages, and rocky outcrops in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong area.

• Overnight: Ninh Binh

 

Day 8: Ninh Binh - Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Depart Ninh Binh for Ha Long Bay, passing through the Red River Delta with scenic views of rice fields and local life.

• Afternoon:

  • Arrive in Ha Long and board a traditional sailing junk for a cruise.

  • Visit Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, and Sail Island. Explore Sung Sot Cave.

  • Enjoy swimming at Titov Beach and a visit to Luon Cave.

• Evening: Enjoy lunch and dinner on board the junk.

• Overnight: On board

 

Day 9: Ha Long Bay - Ha Noi (B/Brunch)

• Morning:

  • Wake up to fresh coffee and breakfast on board.

  • Continue cruising through Ha Long Bay, passing through unique rock formations.

• Afternoon:

  • Return to the Ha Long wharf and transfer back to Ha Noi.

  • Arrive in Ha Noi and transfer to your hotel.

• Overnight: Ha Noi

 

Day 10: Depart Ha Noi (B)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• At leisure for shopping and exploring until your transfer to Noi Bai Airport for your flight home.
