VLT06 - DISCOVERY THE LEGENDS

Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City

• Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, meet your Vietnam Legend Travel guide, and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

• Overnight: Ho Chi Minh City

 

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels & City Tour (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Transfer to Cu Chi District to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network built by Vietnamese resistance fighters.

• Afternoon:

  • Return to Saigon for lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Half-day city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, including the War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Old Saigon Post Office.

• Overnight: Ho Chi Minh City

 

Day 3: Mekong Delta Exploration – Ben Tre Province (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Depart for Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta, crossing the Rach Mieu Cable Bridge to arrive at Ben Tre town.

  • Visit the local market to observe daily life and commerce.

  • Take a boat trip along the Ham Luong River and visit Ben Cau Canal, enjoying views of green coconut trees and the peaceful countryside.

• Afternoon:

  • Explore a village, visit a local house, and enjoy tropical juice.

  • Ride a Tuk Tuk (motor cart) to see women making hand brooms from coconut leaves.

  • Visit a coconut candy factory to learn about traditional candy-making techniques.

  • Participate in a cooking experience with a local family and enjoy a homemade lunch.

  • Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

• Overnight: Ho Chi Minh City

 

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Depart for Da Lat, enjoying a scenic 6-7 hour drive through rubber and tea plantations.

• Afternoon: Sightseeing in Da Lat, including the art deco summer residence of Emperor Bao Dai, Da Lat Railway Station, Xuan Huong Lake, the Central Market, and Tuyen Lam Pagoda.

• Overnight: Da Lat

 

Day 5: Da Lat to Nha Trang (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Visit Lat Village and take a jeep to Lang Bian Mountain for a moderate 5-hour hike. Enjoy breathtaking views of Dankia Lake and Da Lat City from the summit (~2,100m).

• Afternoon: Drive to Nha Trang, arriving in the late afternoon. Transfer to your hotel.

• Overnight: Nha Trang

 

Day 6: Nha Trang City Tour & Overnight Train to Da Nang (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Take a boat trip on Nha Trang Bay to visit nearby islands. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the clear waters.

• Afternoon:

  • Return to the shore for lunch.

  • Half-day city tour of Nha Trang, including the Po Nagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda with its impressive white Buddha statue.

• Evening: Board an overnight train to Da Nang (Train departs: 18:40/Arrives: 05:55).

• Overnight: On the train

 

Day 7: Da Nang to Hoi An (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Arrive in Da Nang and meet your guide.

  • Breakfast at a local restaurant, then transfer to Hoi An.

• Afternoon: Take a walking tour of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit former merchant houses, the Japanese Covered Bridge, and the colorful market.

• Overnight: Hoi An

 

Day 8: Hoi An to Hue (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Depart for Hue, stopping to visit the Marble Mountains and Non Nuoc Beach. Continue to the Cham Museum in Da Nang, home to the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world.

• Afternoon:

  • Travel along the scenic Hai Van Pass, with stops at Lang Co fishing village.

  • Arrive in Hue and transfer to your hotel.

• Overnight: Hue

 

Day 9: Hue City Tour & Flight to Ha Noi (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Take a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang.

• Afternoon:

  • Visit the elaborate tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, along with the Imperial Citadel.

  • Transfer to Hue Airport for a short flight to Ha Noi.

• Evening: Arrive in Ha Noi, meet your guide, and transfer to your hotel.

• Overnight: Ha Noi

 

Day 10: Ha Noi to Hoa Lu (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Drive 125km to Hoa Lu, Vietnam's first capital, to visit ancient citadel sanctuaries.

  • Enjoy a sampan ride through rice paddies and explore the Tam Coc Caves.

• Afternoon:

  • Visit Bich Dong Pagoda and Bai Dinh, Vietnam’s largest pagoda.

  • Check-in to your hotel in Hoa Lu.

• Overnight: Hoa Lu

 

Day 11: Hoa Lu to Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Drive to Ha Long Bay, passing through the scenic Red River Delta.

• Afternoon:

  • Board a traditional sailing junk for a Ha Long Bay cruise.

  • Visit Dinh Huong, Ga Choi, Dog, and Sail Islands. Explore Sung Sot Cave and swim at Titov Beach.

• Overnight: Onboard the Junk

 

Day 12: Ha Long Bay to Ha Noi (Brunch/D)

• Morning:

  • Wake up to fresh coffee and breakfast.

  • Continue cruising through Ha Long Bay’s unique rock formations before returning to shore.

• Afternoon: Return to Ha Noi and transfer to your hotel.

• Overnight: Ha Noi

 

Day 13: Ha Noi City Tour (B/L)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed Fridays and in September) and take a walking tour of Ha Noi's Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake.

• Afternoon:

  • Explore the Temple of Literature and the Museum of Ethnology.

  • Enjoy a traditional water puppet show.

• Overnight: Ha Noi

 

Day 14: Depart Ha Noi (B)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• At leisure until your transfer to Noi Bai Airport for your onward flight.
