Pauline and I are now back in our homes after spending a wonderful two weeks in your lovely country. We found it a wonderful experience to be amongst such gentle, generous, caring people. I never knew that your country had such a vast history of invasions. I hope now Vietnam will remain peaceful for ever. The hotels we stayed at were to be highly commended; close to all the action and our every need was met, even laptops in our room - could be rated as a 4 star. The Orchid Hotel in Hue was excellent and The Blue Diamond in Ho Chi Minh was in the centre of all the attractions. Your tour guides, Anh, in Hanoi and Luan (sorry for spelling) in Ho Chi Minh were very attentive to us and went over and beyond to please us. Mann, our driver in Dalat was exceptional, spoke perfect English, picked us up from the airport and spent a half an hour to show us around the city, making sure we knew a good restaurant and where the centre of the city was. The next day he was our tour guide and for a cheap fee gave us a full day touring. All your drivers were superb, arrived on time and took care of us very well.
Darling, thanks to you for organizing everything at a great price. It was nice to meet you in Saigon and a special thank you for the coffee.
In Ho Chi Minh we were very grateful for the beautiful lunch you had organized. It was a great restaurant. We will definitely recommend you to any of our friends who intend visiting your country.
